Project for Women Empowerment

Diversity. Equality. Unity.

As per the 2001 Census, women make up 48% of the country’s population as an independent group. The Constitution of India recognizes the importance of women as human resources and empowers the State to implement measures of positive discrimination in their favor. There were several articles in the Constitution that emphasized the Constitution’s commitment to women’s socioeconomic development and their right to participate in decision-making.
A key objective of the Project For Women Empowerment is to advance, develop, and empower women in all spheres of life by creating a judicial and legal system more responsive to women’s needs and mainstreaming gender perspectives in development. Additionally, a commitment was made to strengthen and form relevant institutional mechanisms along with implementing international obligations and commitments and cooperating at international, regional and sub-regional levels.

About the cause: Women Empowerment

Empowering and empowering women, as well as improving their political, social, economic, and health status, is a highly important goal. The achievement of sustainable development depends on it as well. Participation and partnership of both men and women are essential in producing and reproducing life, including sharing responsibilities for the care and nurturing of children and maintaining the household. Overburdened with work and lacking power and influence, women face threats to their lives, health, and well-being in all parts of the world. Many regions of the world do not recognize women’s knowledge, abilities, or coping mechanisms, while men receive more formal education. At all levels of society, including the most personal and the most public, power relations impede women from achieving healthy and fulfilling lives.
